World’s Smallest Political Quiz

January 25th, 2008 · 5 Comments

I thought it would be interesting to ask my readers to take the World’s Smallest Political Quiz and post their results. Even you lurkers, come on, now.. It takes less than a minute, there are only about 10 questions. It’ll be interesting to see where you people stand on the spectrum.

My result won’t surprise anyone. ;)

I am a very far left Libertarian. Of course, I’m in agreement on all of the personal issues and agree with ending corporate welfare and cutting taxes and spending. I strongly disagree with privatizing social security (that’s the mommy government part of me) and am centrist on the issues of free trade and welfare.

Interesting.. especially in how vastly you disagree with your chosen Presidential candidate.

Just off the top of my head and from skimming his website, Obama differs with you by being against repealing drug laws, against lowering trade barriers, against cutting taxes and spending, against replacing welfare with private charity, and if you want to really be critical like I do, he’s against freedom of speech as well in his support for expansion of hate crime laws, which punish people more severely due to their thoughts and beliefs.

You differ with me and with Ron Paul a lot less that you do Obama.

Ron Paul is for a gradual opting out of social security but for guaranteeing payouts for those who have paid in. I’m not sure what you could possibly have against free trade, which has brought more people out of poverty than all the government programs that ever were.

As far as welfare goes, well, my view is that if you would think it was morally wrong to go door to door with a gun in your hand collecting money from people at gunpoint, no matter what the money is for, then it’s just as morally wrong to vote for people who will do the dirty work for you. :)
